Smart City Kochi project is a joint venture of Government of Kerala and Dubai based TECOM Investors that has formed to develop and manage Knowledge based industries, townships in kochi, kerala. It is based on Dubai’s models of Internet City, Media City and a full knowledge village to promote the growth of knowledge based companies. The project has almost completed its first phase and will be ready within 12 months and it is expected to provide about 6,000 jobs to job seekers in IT Sector. The project is envisioned with minimum of 8.8 million sq.ft of built space out which 6.21 million sq.ft will be allocated for IT/ITES sector only. In the near future it will see a record of 90,000 jobs being created which will bring the overall development in the state.
